How we operate

We do the sourcing job, so the buyer does not have to.

01

The job we do for our customers

Seafood buyers do not want to run a salmon-sourcing desk. They want a partner who can source across farming regions, use processors that meet their requirements, and land consistent product on the week it is needed — at competitive pricing.

That is the job we do. We qualify operators in Norway and Chile as our two anchor origins, with Canada, Scotland, Iceland, and the Faroes turned on when a program calls for them. We work with processors we know first-hand across origin, Poland and the EU, and the United States. We watch fat range, colour, size, and yield lot by lot.

Where the account allows sourcing across origins, we do — that is how we deliver the most consistent programme at the most competitive pricing. Where the account is origin-specific, we honour the specification and do not swap.

Either way, the buyer gets one supplier of record, one phone number, and product that arrives the way it was agreed.

02

How we source

Norway

Anchor origin

Qualified operators across the Norwegian coast. We buy from farms whose product performs consistently, wherever they sit.

Chile

Anchor origin

Qualified operators across Chilean salmon regions. We buy from farms whose product performs consistently, wherever they sit.

Others

Program-specific

Canada, Scotland, Iceland, Faroes. Turned on when an account requires it.

Wild Alaskan

Not offered

Different product, different customer.

03

Processing

Origin

Primary processing at operator-owned plants in Norway and Chile. Head-on and headed-and-gutted formats flow from the farm-adjacent plant to onward processing.

Poland & EU

Value-add hub for portions, fillets, smoked, and cured programs. Qualified plants inside the EU customs union, giving us European-quality secondary processing with efficient throughput.

Destination market

Value-add and repack through qualified processors in the destination country when the account requires local finishing.

04

Certifications

We match the certification framework your program requires. We do not impose our own. Every lot ships with third-party paperwork. Chain of custody back to the farm within 24 hours on request.

05

Logistics

Frozen

Ocean freight into destination ports. Cold-chain confirmed by the receiving DC.

Fresh

Air freight into destination gateways. Delivered on the week the buyer agreed.

Local

Truckload from qualified cold-storage in the destination market. Direct-to-DC or direct-to-restaurant on request.

06

When something breaks

Every seafood house has a bad day. When one happens on our watch:

  • The affected buyer hears from us first. Every affected buyer, before the press.
  • The statement is signed by Emil, in the present tense, on Crystal Point letterhead.
  • A plain-English root-cause note follows within 10 days. Not a press release. A memo.
  • We do not blame the operator publicly. Crystal Point is responsible for every lot we ship.

Clear water. Held steady.
